12、Men have not more time to understand anything. They buy things already made at the shops. But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship， and so men have no friends any more.

    13、It is your own fault， I never wished you any sort of harm； but you wanted me to tame you…… but now you are going to cry！ Then it has done you no good at all！

    14、It has done me good， because of the color of the wheat fields. Go and look again at the roses. You will understand now that yours is unique in all the world.

    15、You are beautiful， but you are empty. One could not die for you. To be sure， an ordinary passer-by would think that my rose looked just like you – the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses： because it is she that I have watered； because it is she that I have put under the glass globe； because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen； because it is she that I have killed the caterpillars （except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies）； because it is she that I have listened to， when she grumbled， or boasted， or even sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose.

    你們雖然很美麗，但是卻很空虛。沒有人愿意為你們而死。或許，一般的路人，會認(rèn)為我的玫瑰花——那一朵屬于我的玫瑰花和你們是一樣的。但她這一朵卻比你們千萬朵還要重要：因?yàn)槲以��?jīng)親自為她澆水；把她放置在玻璃罩下；把她置于屏風(fēng)后面保護(hù)它；為她鏟除一些毛毛蟲（只留兩三只蛻變成蝴蝶）；我傾聽她的抱怨、自吹自擂甚至信口開河，哪怕她默默無語——只因?yàn)樗�是我的玫瑰花�?/p>

    16、And now here is my secret， a very simple secret. It is only with the heart that one can see rightly； what is essential is invisible to the eyes.

    19、Only the children know what they are looking for. They waste their time over a rag doll and it becomes very important to them； and if anybody takes it away from them， they cry…

    只有小孩子知道自己在找什么。他們把時(shí)間花費(fèi)在布洋娃娃身上。因此對他們而言，洋娃娃就變得很重要。一旦有人將娃娃拿走，他們就會號啕大哭……

    20、As for me， if I had fifty-three minutes to spend as I liked， I should walk at my leisure toward a spring of fresh water.
