10月31日世界勤儉日(World Thrift Day)最早是在1924年舉辦的屆國際儲蓄銀行大會上由意大利教授Filippo Ravizza提出并最終于2006年由聯(lián)合國確立的。該節(jié)日的確定旨在號召人們勤儉節(jié)約以共同應(yīng)對日益嚴(yán)重的資源危機，進而促進社會的健康可持續(xù)發(fā)展。10月28日，清晨，踏著朝陽，黑利伯瑞以“珍惜資源，勤儉節(jié)約”為主題舉行升旗儀式。今天的升旗儀式由小學(xué)5Yellow班的李晗祎、陸子涵兩位同學(xué)主持。

　　尊敬的老師，親愛的同學(xué)們：大家早上好!我是5yellow班的矯銘軒，很榮幸擔(dān)任本周的升旗手。我熱愛運動，比如籃球、足球、游泳……我都喜歡�？ǘ≤囀俏业模�我特別享受開卡丁車的刺激，讓我越來越敢于挑戰(zhàn)。我最大的理想就是長大了，成為一名軍人，保衛(wèi)我們的祖國和人民!我會向著這個目標(biāo)努力前進!謝謝!

　　Dear teacher and students:

　　good morning, I am owen from year 5yellow, I am very honored to be the flag-raiser this week. I love doing sports, such as basketball, football, swimming, The go-kart is my favorite, I enjoy the thrill of driving kart because it makes me dare to meet challenge. My biggest dream is to become a soldier when I grow up so that I can defend our motherland and people! I will strive towards this goal!

　　節(jié)約不僅僅是一種美德，也是一種責(zé)任。隨后，通過精彩的師生演講，向廣大同學(xué)發(fā)出倡議，倡導(dǎo)大家樹立節(jié)約意識，養(yǎng)成勤儉好習(xí)慣、好作風(fēng)，并積極行動起來，從我做起，從現(xiàn)在做起，從身邊做起，從節(jié)約一滴水、一張紙、一粒糧入手，將節(jié)約簡樸踐行到生活的每一個細(xì)節(jié)。

　　The first International Thrift Congress which was held in Milan, Italy in 1924 had declared October 31 as the World Thrift day. The aim of celebrating this day is to change our behavior towards the saving and constantly reminds us the importance of wealth.

　　1924年在意大利米蘭舉行的屆國際節(jié)儉大會宣布10月31日為世界節(jié)儉日。慶祝這的目的是改變我們對儲蓄的行為,并不斷提醒我們節(jié)儉的重要性。

　　An ancient Chinese proverb imparts the wisdom of being thrifty - 由儉入奢易，由奢入儉難。It is easy to you to adapt it if your living condition ascends from economical to luxurious; conversely, that becomes hard.

　　中國古代諺語傳授節(jié)儉的智慧：由儉入奢易，由奢入儉難。如果您的生活狀況從經(jīng)濟上的進步到豪華的生活，您很容易適應(yīng)它。相反,這會變得困難。

　　Life contains many ups and downs, no one can go smoothly. So we should keep a gentle attitude to life. No matter in what kind of living condition, developing a good habit of thrift is necessary. Only in this way can you respond to changes in life calmly.

　　生活包含許多困難，沒有人能很順利。所以我們應(yīng)該對生活保持溫和的態(tài)度。無論在什么樣的生活條件下，都必須養(yǎng)成節(jié)儉的好習(xí)慣。只有這樣，您才能從容應(yīng)對生活的變化。

　　大家好，10月31日是一個特殊的日子——世界節(jié)儉日。

　　2008年聯(lián)合國公布的報告指出，世界上每6秒就有一個兒童餓死，每9個人中就有一個處于饑餓狀態(tài)，全球有8億多人在挨餓，這一個個數(shù)字，讓我們這些衣食無憂的人非常震驚。

　　我們能為他們做些什么呢?能為全人類做些什么呢?

　　中國人每年浪費的糧食價值有200億元，倒掉的食物相當(dāng)于2億人一年的口糧。全球每年損失和浪費的糧食近13億噸，占全球糧食生產(chǎn)總量的三分之一。

　　我想，通過以上數(shù)字，大家也明白我們每個人應(yīng)該做些什么。讓盡量多的人知道這些事實，讓我們和身邊的每個人都行動起來。踐行“光盤行動”，節(jié)約每一粒糧食、每一滴水、每一度電……把每都過成“節(jié)儉日”，讓世界越來越美好。

　　Hello everyone. October 31s it is a special day. It's World Thrift Day. According to the report released by the United Nations in 2018, every six seconds in the world, a child starves to death, and one in nine people is starving. There are more than 800 million people starving in the world.

　　All these figures shocked us who have no worries about food and clothing.

　　What can we do for them? For all mankind?

　　The value of food wasted by the Chinese people is 20 billion yuan per year. The amount of food dumped is equivalent to the ration of 200 million people per year. The amount of food lost and wasted in the world is nearly 1.3 billion tons per year, accounting for 1/3 of the total global food production.

　　I think through the above facts, you can also understand what each of us

　　should do to let as many people know these facts. Let ourselves and everyone around us act in response to the clear your plate. Save every grain, every drop of water, every kilowatt hour of electricity , and make every day a Thrift day.

　　Let us and every around us act to make the world a better place.
