4月10日下午14：20，我校第一屆英語(yǔ)朗誦比賽的決賽在劇院上演，張景晨、馬睿欣同學(xué)擔(dān)任主持。朗誦是口語(yǔ)交際的一種重要形式。朗誦不僅可以提高閱讀能力，增強(qiáng)藝術(shù)鑒賞，更為重要的是，通過(guò)朗誦，大者可以陶冶性情，開(kāi)闊胸懷，文明言行，增強(qiáng)理解；小者可以有效地培養(yǎng)對(duì)語(yǔ)言詞匯細(xì)致入微的體味能力，以及確立口語(yǔ)表述最佳形式的自我鑒別能力。因此，要想成為口語(yǔ)表述與交際的高手，就不能漠視朗誦。

　　The first English Recitation Contest of Haileybury was held in the afternoon of July 10th. It was hosted by Johnny and Cicilia. Recitation plays an important role in one‘s social life. It can increase not only your comprehension of reading， but also the ability to appreciate the art. The most important of all， via recitation， you can cultivate your behaviors and reinforce your understanding to a higher grade. To a lower grade， you can obtain the ability to sense the power of the language and to identify to use the best expressions. Thus， if you would like to be a master of expressions and socialization， recitation is not to be neglected.

　　經(jīng)過(guò)前期的各班預(yù)賽與復(fù)賽，從全校挑選出11位優(yōu)秀的選手進(jìn)入到最后的決賽當(dāng)中。在比賽中，這些選手也體現(xiàn)出高人一籌的朗誦水平，或抒情吟誦、或深情委婉、或生動(dòng)活潑、或詼諧幽默，給人眼前一亮、耳目一新之感，贏得陣陣掌聲。經(jīng)過(guò)激烈角逐，趙英然、郭若谷、佟笑音獲得初中組三等獎(jiǎng)；張洋洋、石珂嘉獲得高中組三等獎(jiǎng)；熊詩(shī)雨、任子一獲得初中組二等獎(jiǎng)；畢宇輝、游博雅獲得高中組二等獎(jiǎng)；王子彥和賈文欣分獲初中組和高中組一等獎(jiǎng)。期待這些獲獎(jiǎng)學(xué)生再接再厲，在以后的學(xué)習(xí)中更進(jìn)一步，取得更大的進(jìn)步。

　　After the preliminary and secondary contests， 11 contestants went to the final competition. In the contest， the students showed us their best parts. After the final competition， Rebecca got the third place in middle school and Yalena and Caroline got the third prize in high school； Mark and Elsa got the second prize in middle school and Ed and Yolanda got the second place in high school； Tiffany and Amy got the first prize in middle school and high school respectively. We expect these students to show more of their talents to us in the days to come.

　　The people who worked behind the screen also made tremendous contribution to the success of the contest. We look forward to seeing more of such contests where the students can have the opportunity to show us their abilities.
