北京世青國際學(xué)校小學(xué)部IPC國際小學(xué)課程(4 -5年級)
IPC的課程的設(shè)計是為了幫助學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)必要的知識和技能,形成對廣泛的課程學(xué)科深入的理解,IPC課程使用主題單元(每個主題平均持續(xù)4周)形式教學(xué)。每個單元雖然獨立,卻又綜合了歷史、科學(xué)、地理、體育和藝術(shù)等許多學(xué)科。它為教師提供了嚴格而 又豐富的教學(xué)框架,允許教師為孩子花費更多的時間安排創(chuàng)造性、個性化的學(xué)習(xí)方案。孩子們通過一系列的IPC教學(xué)單元進行學(xué)習(xí)。每個單元有其主題,每個主題都是當今孩子感興趣并與之相關(guān)。這些主題包括財富、動物、交通、慶祝和食物等等。

Our curriculum and expanded facilities at our Lido campus will enhance our ability to deliver an academic programme that encourages investigation and higher level thinking, engages with meaningful activities, and gives students a solid base of knowledge and skills for the 21st century.
Primary School Programme Structure
In Humanities and Science, learning targets will be met through a rigorous and engaging series of inquiry-based thematic units.
Mathematics classes are based on a set of international standards, using both local and overseas teaching materials.
While literacy skills are built throughout the programme, Language classes teach important skills with the goal of developing strong independent readers and writers.
Developing the appreciation of visual and performing arts, building computer skills and fostering enthusiasm towards design, engineering, invention and innovation.
Developing healthy attitudes and behaviours by getting exercise, learning and playing sports, having fun, with the goal of inspiring healthy, active living.
Learning Goals
Learning goals relate to knowledge, skills and understanding that each student should be able to demonstrate by the end of Year 5. Goals are in place for each subject area, and our academic programme serves to help students meet these goals.
An example of a skill-based Geography learning goal is:
Student is able to make plans and maps in a variety of scales using symbols and keys.
An example of a knowledge-based Science learning goal is:
Student knows about differences between metals and other materials.
Assessment
In the delivery of the Primary School programme, teachers conduct both summative and formative assessment to determine students’ progress towards specific learning goals in different subject areas. The primary goal of all assessment is to give the student feedback to help them learn and develop. A formal report of each student’s progress is issued once per semester.
Learning Spaces
The learning space for Years 4 & 5 currently comprises three classrooms and one shared multi-purpose room. These spaces are designed to accomodate a variety of learning modalities, including collaborative work, one-on-one instruction, hands-on projects, storytelling, presentation and performance.
Our spaces are equipped with:
Projector for in-class digital discovery and collaborative work
Computers for research and creation
Materials for construction and creativity (paper/markers/scissors/etc.)
Large corkboards for collaboration and display
Furniture that supports a variety of classroom activities
Storage space for personal items
