15. reduce vt. & vi 減少，縮減，減化
reduce prices 降低價格

[注意]reduce 作不及物動詞時，僅作“減肥”講。I must reduce to get into that dress. 我必須減肥才能穿上那條裙子。
[拓展]reduce...to 使……陷入不良狀況;把……歸納成;把……降職為(to為介詞) He was reduced to begging for food. 他淪落到討飯的地步。
[短語] order 使……恢復(fù)秩序;整理
reduce...to silence使安靜，使沉默下來

16. remind
(1) vt. 提醒
�、� remind sb. of / about sth. 提醒某人某物;提醒某人注意某事Be sure to remind her of the meeting she has to attend. 務(wù)必提醒她要參加那次會議。

(2) vt. 使(人)想起，使記起

17. wonder v. 驚奇，驚嘆，對……感到驚奇，想知道
