1 years old的year為可數(shù)名詞，其復(fù)數(shù)形式（＝2歲以上）year后面需加s; 故讀成years old; 但當(dāng)描述2歲以下（＝1歲）時(shí)，則需將s拿掉，例如：我1歲＝I am one year old.

2 teens （＝teenagers）指的是13-19 歲的少年， 其中不包括10（ten）， 11（eleven）， 12（twelve）; 因?yàn)閺?3（thirteen）-19（nineteen）的英文詞里才有teen這個(gè)詞尾。

3 在不明確是幾歲，但略知是20幾、30幾或90幾歲……可用下列敘述，例如：in her 20s.（＝在她20幾歲時(shí)）She started to play the piano in her 20s.

4 同上述，若在20出頭（＝20-25）就加early, 例如：in her early 20s; 若指的是20靠尾（＝26-29）接近30時(shí)，就加late，例如：in her late 20s.
